There are two small outside zip pockets on the front, one large zip pocket on the back, a slip pocket at one end and a great big zip closed main compartment. The cross-body strap is removable on two carabiners from the local hardware store. I took it to a quilt show and I shopped until it was full! My keys, phone and wallet had a pocket each. All my purchases went inside! I love it, I hope you do too.
